I was born in Salt Lake City, but attended Middlebury College in Vermont and McGill University in Montreal, Canada. I graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Arts in Russian and English and a minor in French and Music. I received a Master of Education from the University of Utah in 1995.

I have taught ESL, Russian and French in the public school system and Humanities, English 1010 and 2010 for  Salt Lake Community College. I have four children and love the outdoors especially hiking and camping.

This is an interdisciplinary course involving the study of art, music, history, drama, film, literature, religions and philosophies of world cultures. This class provides connecting threads valuable to an understanding of man and his place in the universe. Through thoughtful questioning, the student will gain greater knowledge of Self and, hopefully, become a better human being, a goal for which we are all striving.
